New in 2017

Happy 2017 to all! I took a bit of a break in December to focus on spending my time with family, and planning 2017 here at Science Daily Dose. I will be back later this week with new content, but I wanted to talk a bit about my “resolutions” for Science Daily Dose in 2017. While I am goal- and value-oriented in general, I use quotes when I say resolutions because I think that resolutions can have a negative connotation — things we aspire to, but ultimately fall by the wayside a few weeks into the new year.

My goals for Science Daily Dose in 2017 are:

  • Two posts per week discussing science news or highlighting science research
  • Sending out a monthly newsletter with new content (subscribe here!)
  • Continuing to host a monthly Twitter chat focused on mental health issues in academia, and offering Science Daily Dose as a platform for scientists to share their own stories about personal health (anonymous or otherwise)
